Day 24

Today we spent exploring a wildlife habitat that is completely different to what we are used to: Dartmoor. Visiting family in Devon, a trip to Dartmoor is a must! This time we made the short walk to Grimspound prehistoric stone circle to explore the archaeological remains but also appreciate the natural environment that is so very different to that of the South Midlands. The lichens and mosses on the rocks, the grass uplands and moors are all extraordinary habitats for a wide range of animals. Find out more about wildlife on Dartmoor here.
