Continuing with yesterday's theme of bug hotels, today Harry and I inspected the bee house at the fence.
This is another easy way to provide shelter for solitary bees and other insects that love to hide the various compartments. Ours is a shop bought version but with a bit of woodworking skill it is easy to make one yourself. As you can see even the outside proves beneficial for our garden friends: it seems to be a great place to attach a spider web to!
