Charities and Community
As a dog professional I believe in playing my part and contributing to the wider community. These are the charities and initiatives I support.
Lyme Disease is spread by tick bites. People who live with dogs are at a particular risk as they tend to be outdoors more. Every May, Lyme Disease UK tries to raise awareness through major landmarks lit up in green. Although May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month, the disease is a year-round concern.
Most dog walkers know how much litter there is when out on a walk. So why not do something about it? Pick up a couple of pieces while out and about? It's easy, makes you feel good and helps not just the environment or wildlife but dogs too (if they are of the scavenging type)!
