Today, Harry and I took a tour around the garden to inspect our creepy crawly mini-habitats. This is one of them:
It is a cut up trunk of a Christmas tree which I have piled into a log heap for bugs and other creepy crawlies to hide in. The cowslip at the front gives additional shelter as do the bricks and rocks at the back. It is an easy way to recycle a part of the Christmas tree which is difficult to use otherwise and over time the wood will decompose by itself. Happy Bug-mas!
